First Christopher Street Liberation Day March, 1970

The banner from the beginning of the first Christopher Street Liberation Day March, 1970. The CSLD March took place exactly one year after the Stonewall Riots, on June 28, 1970, but it wasn't the first LGBTQ rights march in the U.S. That distinction belongs to Chicago, who hosted their first Gay Pride Parade on June 27, 1970, one day before New York City.
