Ashes Action, 1992, "Fight Back, Fight AIDS!" ACT UP documentary

On October 11, 1992, ACT UP New York held its first political funeral during the final weekend of the AIDS quilt exhibition. The Ashes Action began with a procession from the Capitol to the White House lawn, where people scattered the ashes of those they had lost to AIDS. Video by James Wentzy.
